THEN
From: Coatesville, Pennsylvania
Internship: Teacher's Aide at Gallaudet's Child Development Center
Location: Washington, D.C.
When: Fall Semester of 2003
The Experience:
My internship at the Child Development Center (CDC) was a great experience for me. I also learned a lot about patience and communication. I enjoyed working at CDC and am grateful for the experience.
NOW
What are you doing now: taking time off, working, and/or going to school? I am working at Department of Veterans at Medical Center in Coatesville. I hope that I will go to graduate school one day.
Do you enjoy working and/or going to school? I do enjoy going to work everyday to learn more and it is something new everyday.
Do you think your FCS major or your internship benefits you now? I do think that FCS major benefits me to know how to work with people and to help others; making sure things are running smoothly.
What is your advice for future FCS majors/minors? My advice is to find a place to work where you really want to work badly and to enjoy every moment of it. Make sure you know what you really want to do.
