SHORT BIOGRAPHY Samuel Weber is the Coordinator of Field Experiences and an instructor in the Family and Child Studies department at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. He holds an M.A. degree in Deaf Education with a specialization in Family-Centered Early Education and a B.S. degree in Family and Child Studies with a specialization in Child Development, both from Gallaudet University. Currently, he is working on his Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education at Walden University. During the Summer of 2007, Samuel traveled to Thailand to be involved in a UNESCO Project: "Outside the Dream: Language and Literacy for Poor and Isolated Deaf Children and Youth in Rural Thailand" (2006-2007). He and his colleagues conducted an advanced training workshop for family mentors of young deaf children in Nakon Sri Thammarat, Thailand. Samuel lives in Virginia with his wife and two dogs, Shakey and Vola. His daughter, Shena, graduated from Roanoke College in May, 2008.
